The other day, we enjoyed a thrilling journey on the Ajlun Cable Car, and we're here to share our experience and all the essential details you need to know for your own adventure.

A Sunny Day in Ajlun

It was a beautiful sunny day in January when we set off from Amman for our Ajlun cable car adventure.
The drive took approximately 1.5 hours, and upon arrival, we were greeted by stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests.

Convenient Amenities and Stunning Views

Parking at the cable car is free, with designated spots for disabled visitors.
We were impressed by the well-maintained facilities at Station 1.

The area offers stunning mountain views, shops with reasonable prices, cafes, and even a restaurant with a breathtaking panorama.
We also noticed a special pathway designed for disabled access to the station, ensuring inclusivity for all visitors.

To keep kids entertained, there's even a dedicated kids' area with fun activities.

A Smooth and Scenic Ride

The cabins are clean, modern, and equipped with safety features and a screen.

With clear skies, the views during our ride were simply phenomenal.
Soaring over the Ajlun landscape and witnessing the forests from above was a truly unique experience.
The 5-kilometer ride to Station 2 takes about 15 minutes.

Exploring Station 2 and Ajlun Castle

Upon arrival at Station 2, we were further impressed by the spacious picnic area with beautiful views.

We enjoyed a quick snack while viewing the beautiful scenery before heading towards Ajlun Castle. As we've visited the castle on previous trips, we opted to skip the interior tour this time.

However, we couldn't resist a refreshing pomegranate drink from a local vendor.

Two Stations and a Scenic Ride

The Ajlun Cable Car has two stations:
Station 1, also known as Sawwan Station.
And Station 2, located next to Ajlun Castle.
We decided to start from Station 1 and enjoy the scenic ride up to Station 2.

before exploring the station, we bought our round-trip tickets (its the only option) by the entrance gate.

Consider the season:
We visited during the off-season, so it wasn't crowded.

Ticket prices:
Tickets are priced at 4 JOD for Jordanians and 10 JOD for foreigners. Children under 3 years old ride for free.

Opening hours:
The Ajlun Cable Car Resort operates seasonally.
During the winter season (November-April), opening hours are from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Summer season (May-October) sees extended hours from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Keep in mind that the last ticket to enter the resort is sold one hour before closing.
